Supermarket credit cards offer more than discounts
Everyone seems to make light of supermarket credit cards. I mean who really cares if you get a buy one get one free deal for shopping at Sainsbury’s. While you may not track your finances down to the last penny, you will want to know why a Sainsbury’s card or other issued by a supermarket can be the best card in your wallet. Along with the little bargains the store offers these cards usually come with major features.
Many of these cards allow 0 balance transfers. This means you can take the amount you owe on another card and transfer it to you new one. But you won’t have to pay interest on the balance for over a year. Another great feature of these cards is that many are interest free credit cards. So not only do you get great deals while shopping you don’t have to pay interest on your purchases for a long time. Actually switching credit cards from time to time is a sound idea. Your current card issuer has no incentive to give you a better rate. In fact most are being toughest on their best customers to try and make up recent bad debt losses.
